First Post

I've been back and forth on creating a blog for a while. Ghost was simple to setup and configure and the writing experience is nice. I like the idea of a static site but writing in Markdown, building the site and then pushing it to hosting could get in the way of writing, so here we are with Ghost. I have little doubt I will try other platforms as I'd like to make my site lean. In the meantime, Ghost will get me started.

A shout out to Kev Quirk who's blog I enjoy reading and has pushed me to create my own space on the web. Kev's site led me to other blogs too; a few I enjoy are Bradley Taunt & Herman Martinus and more recently, Forking Mad.
